WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Starting next school year, three high schools will combine sports programs to form the Wilkes-Barre Area Wolfpack.
But the legacy of the Coughlin High School cheerleaders will live on.
The coaches decided to share their Crusader pride by supporting another C.H.S. squad.
It wasn’t easy to find a high school with the same initials and team colors, but the ladies found a perfect match and decided to donate their uniforms.
“It makes me feel really good,” said cheerleader Tori Lavelle. “I hope they feel the exact same way that I did the first time I put it on.”
The coaches are still collecting the uniforms, and they hope to mail them to the Midwest in the next week or two.
