CBS 60 Minutes Producer and U of Scranton Grad Addresses Hunger

  (WBRE/WYOU-TV) Speaking out on a problem many of us may not be aware of in Scranton.

 C-B-S 60 Minutes Producer and University of Scranton graduate, Nicole Young addressed a group of local community and business leaders Tuesday.

Young, who’s won more than a dozen Emmy awards says the problem of hunger both in the United States and Around the World is massive. She says her job gives her a unique look at this troubling issue.

“As much as it’s hard to look and see that the world has this kind of hunger, and this sort of pain in it, that the more you look away the more these things will continue to happen and I want people to look toward these sorts of things and to find the time to hear the voices of these people”   

Young told the crowd at The University of Scranton hunger affects more than 700, 000,00 people worldwide.
