(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A new Butler Township municipal building was dedicated Thursday in Luzerne County. The new municipal building includes the consolidation of all services under one roof.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place for that building which now includes the police station. Officials say the Butler Township Police Department will now have three times the amount of space than in their old building. The project totaled five million dollars. It was well received by officials and residents.
“Things do come true so this is one of my wishes I’m very proud of what we have here it will serve the people very well,” Noted Charles Altmiller, Vice Chairman of Butler Township Supervisors.
