BRADFORD COUNTY, PA (WBRE/WYOU) – Bradford County has been denied federal flood aid.
The Bradford County’s Commissioner’s Office announced their request for FEMA assistance has been turned down.
Private property damaged by flooding in September will not be eligible to get money for repairs or replacement.
Officials say the plan to initiate requests to the Small Business Administration to make low-interest federal loans available for businesses and homeowners who suffered damage. These loans are made available when other funding has not been approved.
