“Quiet and peaceful”.
That’s how residents living on 5th street describe the neighborhood. But Thursday morning Butler Township police and Pennsylvania state police were at the house after they found two bodies inside.
“Shocked. Blown away,” That’s how Steven Quinn described the events of the day.
Pennsylvania State police say a US Postal Service worker noticed mail piling up at the house. Police went to do a wellness check about 11 am Thursday morning. That’s when the bodies were found.
Police have taped of this house on South Fifth Street as they proceed with their investigation.
“I cannot believe that anything like that would happen in Mr. Miran’s house,” Said Theresa Lane
People in the neighborhood told Eyewitness News that an older man used to live in the house but passed away in the fall of 2018. They say they know of his family still going to the house but didn’t notice anything strange.
“God Bless them all, whoever they are. So sad. Very sad. Cannot imagine. It being one of my loved ones,” Said Steven Quinn.
The investigation is ongoing and police say the public is not in any danger.
