Boarding for breast cancer

POCONO TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – CamelbacK Mountain is using their ski resort as a background to teach about breast cancer prevention.

Camelback Mountain will have a number of health care providers visiting to teach healthy tips on Saturday.

“We have a 3D mammogram van coming from Lehigh Valley Health Network, where people can pre-register online through Lehigh Valley Health Network and then enjoy the mountain and come on site to receive their 3d mammogram,” Alissa Poster, social media manager with Camelback Mountain, said.

Along with education, the resort is tying in many fun events for skiers and snowboarders.

“In addition we’ll also have a Real Jam, which is kind of a free style contest where different age groups and brackets can participate and showing off their skills on ski’s and snowboards on rails,” Poster explained.

If you want to take part in the “Boarding for Breast Cancer” event, it is Saturday, February 2nd starting at 8:30am.
