Benefit planned for Haley Lorenzen’s family

News

WYOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A benefit is planned for a suspected murder victim in Wyoming County.

Crews have yet to recover the body of Haley Lorenzen, who disappeared at the end of December.

The 24-year-old was reported missing by Phillip Walters.  Police believe he killed Lorenzen as part of a love triangle and then dumped her body in the Susquehanna River.

This tragedy has touched the hearts of many people in Wyoming County, even though most of them never met Lorenzen.  She moved here from Oregon last year.

Now those complete strangers are planning a fundraiser for her family as their travel expenses add up.

A spaghetti dinner is taking place on February 10th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Ardee’s on State Route 92.

Donations can be mailed to: Deanna Hills, 426 NE Laura Avenue, Gresham, OR 97030.
