Anne’s Angels

News

West Pittston, Luzerne County – Four children who lost their mother will have a chance to further their education thanks to a community fundraiser.  An event called “Anne’s Angels” is raising money for the college funds of the four Gober children.  Their mother 45-year-old Anne Gober lost her life July 21st in a head-on collision in Susquehanna County.

Monday night students and parents put together the Anne’s Angel’s fundraiser.  Two of the Gober girls play field hockey, so the parent’s association of field hockey chose  the Wyoming Area field hockey senior night for the event.  JT Gober, Anne Gober’s son, says “they have all been so nice to us.  Dropping food off, giving us rides, everything.  Julia Gober, Anne Gober’s daughter says “it’s really overwhelming.  My mom would be really happy to see everyone so happy and it really means a lot to me and my sisters and my brother.”

Proceeds benefit the Gober children educational fund.  The man who hit Anne Gober, Michael Argust, has been charged with her death.

Contributions to the Gober Children’s Educational Fund can be sent to:
