(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A family friendly autism center opened Thursday in Lackawanna County.   An opening ceremony was held on the campus of the University of Scranton. The goal of the facility is to enhance services for those living with autism including early intervention and adult support. The 13-county initiative is led by the AllOne Foundation assisting families with identifying and navigating support services.

“One of the responsibilities at this center will be to educate and train individuals who will go out and work in the clinical areas and treat those individuals affected by autism,” Said Attorney John Moses, Chairman of the Board ALLOne Foundation.

The center services counties across Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. April is national autism awareness month.
