TAYLOR, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU-TV) Students from all across Lackawanna County came together today for a special reason.

Allied Services held its fifth annual Disability Employment and college fair in Taylor.
More than 150 kids learned about services available to them as they prepare to transition out of high school.

“We want them to go and speak up for themselves. We want them to self-advocate and be able to speak up and not always have mom or dad or the teacher do it” Said Dave Genoese, Transition Coordinator, Scranton School District.

Parents also got a chance to take part in the event too — learning what types of services are available as their kids leave high school
