All eyes to the skies for some planet gazing

EAST STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) It happens only a little more than once a decade.
On Monday, avid star watchers casted their eyes to the skies  to watch a “mini-eclipse,” where the planet Mercury passes directly between the Sun and Earth.

At East Stroudsburg University, the physics department set-up telescopes on campus for the public to observe.

Many gathered to enjoy the show and were over the moon for the opportunity to watch the rare event.

The next event won’t happen until 2019.
