BARRETT TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – Some people don’t like the big crowds on New Year’s Eve, so they take a trip to relax in the Poconos.
Magnolia Streamside Resort in Barrett Township is booked solid Monday night with guests staying at the cottages or suites. They also have a sold out private dinner.
Many of the guests come from New York, New Jersey, or Philadelphia. They want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and just the relaxing adventures the Poconos have to offer.
“You can start with a fireplace and a hot coco in the cottage and some family time together. You can hits the slopes for some fun as well as check out local stores and the kind of activities we all know we have in the Poconos,” Inna Vityuk, the co-owner of the resort, said.
The resort is small as it can only accommodate about 40 guests overnight.
