(WBRE/WYOU-TV) A local candy making family is celebrating something sweet.
Victoria’s Candies located in Hazleton is getting their new manufacturing facility up and churning out the chocolate.
It’s located on Cunningham Drive in Hazleton. Paul Esposito is the fourth generation owner and President of the Retail Confectioners Association of Philadelphia.
On Monday, the Association’s monthly meeting was held at the new building.
“Really, we’re here to show the people how to make the candy–what we all do in our living, they’re all candy makers. We’re here to show them our new facility. It’s been a great thing, it’s much bigger than what we were downtown. We’re a fourth-generation candy company and we’re really proud to be here that long. Hopefully, we’ll be here another 85 years,” Said Paul Esposito.
“It was sad leaving our old location but, you know, you gotta move on with the future. I think we are doing [well]. We are looking pretty good and we’re getting everything together. Hazleton brings you here and it’s just not a holiday in Hazleton if you don’t have Victoria’s, I don’t know what you’re doing,” Said Angelo Esposito.
The new manufacturing facility will also have a small retail space and Victoria’s looks to have both sections up and running by Christmas.
