Fundraiser for Jennifer Kershner – March 10

Valley Community Library To Host Fundraiser_5559741523993840000

A benefit dinner will be held on Saturday, March 10 for a Montoursville woman who is in need of a lifesaving kidney/pancreas transplant.

Organizers say Jennifer Kershner is described by her family as a “vibrant 46-year-old” wife and mother who has been fighting end-stage renal disease for more than 6 years. She grew up in Montoursville, graduated from Montoursville Area High School in 1989, and is a familiar face at Weis Markets, where she has worked for over a decade as of December 2017. She has a 2-year-old grandchild. “She would like to watch her youngest daughter graduate high school, then college,” explain loved ones, “and see her only grandchild grow up!” A transplant is Jennifer’s only hope for a healthy future.

Everyone is invited to enjoy a delicious dinner and a chance to win big for a good cause at the Spaghetti Dinner and Chinese Auction at American Legion Post 104 (1312 Broad Street).  The event will run from 4 to 8 p.m

Tickets for the Spaghetti Dinner and Chinese Raffle are $8 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 12. Children under 5 are free. Get your tickets in advance by calling Jen at 570.971.6027. You can also purchase tickets at the door. Need your dinner to go? No problem! Make your donation and pick up a spaghetti dinner to take home with you.

Can’t make it to the event? Make a donation in honor of Jennifer Kershner at any time at All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law and will be used to offset medical and related expenses via Help Hope Live’s Mid-Atlantic Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Fund.
