Cougar Radio’s Spring Jam 2017 features three musical guests

Cougar Radio at Misericordia University is presenting Spring Jam 2017 on Saturday, April 22 from 1-5 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Amphitheater in the center of campus. Musical guests for the free concert include Behind the Grey, Stay Loud and Riley Loftus.

Loftus recently was named the best new artist at the Steamtown Music Awards. The guitarist/singer is an acoustic performer whose playlist includes Top 40, pop and rhythm and blues.

The Scranton-based Behind the Grey is a metal band that features an aggressive blend of guitar riffs and dynamic vocal melodies. The band recently released its debut album, “Through the grip of Tyrants.’’ The band is comprised of Dom Vito, vocals; Will Perna, guitars; Daniel McDonald, guitars; Grant Williams, bass, and Mike Boniewicz on drums.

Stay Loud is an alternative rock band with roots in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Band members include Chris Cashmere, vocals/guitar; Gerald Tulao, guitar/vocals; C.J. Davenport, bass, and Justin Ratowski on drums.

Cougar Radio also will be holding a raffle during the event in support of the Misericordia University Colleges Against Cancer Chapter’s 7th annual Relay for Life event on campus on Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22.  

In addition to Cougar Radio, the Department of Mass Communications and Design at Misericordia University features The Highlander student newspaper, and MCN87 and Service By Design, the student-run television station and marketing and design firm on campus
