The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce along with their critical partner, MCPS of Central PA are announcing that on Wednesday, the 25th of May, they will be hosting a FREE luncheon for business owners and their guests.  This luncheon will be held at one of our valley’s most prestigious Italian restaurants, La Primavera, located just west of Lewisburg.  MCPS of Central PA is a credit card processing company located in New Berlin.

A buffet luncheon will be served at 11:30 am in the restaurant’s catering room and this informative event will run until 1:00 pm. The event has a dual purpose; to introduce business owners to the many advantages of joining the nearly 800 other members of the Chamber and for MCPS to explain, in some detail, the changes in credit card processing brought about by the new chip cards being distributed by banks. Members of the staff of the Chamber will be on hand to greet prospective and current members and to distribute information on other Chamber functions.

The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber offers a huge variety of benefits and discounts to members as well as many special events to promote business-to-business opportunities in marketing goods and services. The Chamber’s “Business After Hours” introductory parties and the always popular “Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies” are just a few of the advantages of member participation.

MCPS, one of the newest members of the Chair’s Circle of the Chamber, will show a live presentation about the new cards and the EMV terminals that that are required to actually accept the new credit cards. They also will demonstrate how the rates on processing cards are determined by the many participants in the marketing of that service. The company’s President, Art Lieberman, has become widely known throughout the Central Susquehanna Valley as an expert in credit card processing. The three companies that comprise the New Berlin-based enterprise, processed over $75 million in credit card transactions in 2015.

This is a huge opportunity for business owners to receive necessary information on credit card processing and on the newest changes in the most important source of income for businesses in the 21st century. Attendees will also learn the benefits of joining the Chamber which has huge advantages for the growing business, while dining on, what is unquestionably, some of the Valley’s best Italian cuisine.

To register for this free event go to the Chambers website at gsvcc.org. You may also call MCPS at 570-966-0080 to secure your reservations.
