MESHOPPEN, WYOMING COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) – In this month’s “A Little Love,” we re-introduce you to a young man looking for a shot at life with a forever family by his side.
17-year-old Ricky just started his senior year and is looking to join the basketball team this winter. At the Wyoming County Fair, his skills speak for themselves.
“I’m kind, very respectful, and very loving actually,” says Ricky.
With those glowing qualities, Ricky is a graceful winner as he dominates fair games ranging from basketball, dart throwing, and some target practice breaking bottles.
But after working up an appetite, the fair food is calling. Ricky knows what he’s talking about. He would actually like to own his own restaurant some day.
“I’ve always been interested in cooking and maybe one day starting my business,” says Ricky. “It was always one of my younger dreams.”
Support from a forever family would go a long way in making that dream a reality.
“If they believe I can do it, then I believe I can do it too,” says Ricky.
Ricky’s inner ‘food critic’ gives an Italian sausage and the chili cheese fries both passing marks.
Ricky is someone who never backs down from living life. But the life he dreams of has a family along for the ride.
“[I picture] a loving family that would always be there for me and that cared for me when I’m down,” says Ricky.
