Michael Holigan: I'm looking for studs in the closet today because we're going to install a wall safe. Now, installing a safe sounds like a difficult project to do but it's really not. It's something you can do. It only takes about an hour. We're actually going to put it between the two studs. That's why we're looking for them. We need to find two studs 16 inches apart. We've done that. So, now we need to cut a hole. To cut a hole for a wall safe we're going to use a template that actually comes with the safe so we're not guessing where to put things. This template has four holes that we're going to run nails through in the wall and then we'll cut from nail to nail and we know that will be right. Put the first nail in. The next step is just to connect the dots. Now we're ready to cut our hole. All right. Oh, yeah. That's going to be good. Put a level on that and screw it in place. Okay, now we're ready to use our safe. The key works with the combination. You have to work them both together. There we go. Easy enough. All we need to do now is put in the shelves and we're done. A safe is a good idea to have in every household. They're inexpensive. This one was approximately $100. So if you've got the time and you've got the money go ahead and get you a safe and do it yourself.
