Walk For the Animals 2013

SPCA Annual event held on Saturday
Kingston Township, Luzerne County-People helped raised money for animals at a big fundraiser, Saturday, in Luzerne County. Dog owners and their pet pooches gathered at Frances Slocum State Park in Kingston Township for the 23rd annual "Walk for the Animals" The Luzerne County SPCA walk helped promote the many pets in need of homes that are being sheltered at the SPCA's Plains Township location. The walk is also a major fundraiser for the shelter that could not survive without support.
 "The donations are for their health, their care, their food, their shelter, medical care, whatever they need until they are available to be adopted out." said Lisa Natt, Chairperson for Walk for the Animals

"It's really nice to see that everybody is getting along and everyone's out here for a walk and it was a really good turn out this year." added Corey Snedden of Harveys Lake
 Eyewitness News Anchor Monica Madeja led today's 23rd Annual Walk for the Animals in Luzerne County.
