Peckville, Lackawanna County--The Valley Community Library will host "A Blacktop Affair" on Thursday, August 22 from 6-9 p.m. The event, which will benefit the Valley Community Library Building Fund, will feature food and drink for local vendors and music from John Canjar and Rick Gilette of "Nowhere Slow."
According to Christopher Szewczyk, Esq., Valley Community Library board member and co-chair of this second annual event, attendees can expect a great end-of-summer outdoor party.
"The fundraiser gives the community a night out at the end of the summer to enjoy local flavors, a cold beverage, summer weather, and good music, all while helping to support a great cause," said Szewczyk.
Tickets are on sale now at the library. Advance tickets can be purchased for $20. Tickets also will be available at the door for $25. Must be 21years old to attend. The event will take place on the side parking lot at the library, rain or shine.
