Around 1:30 PM Saturday afternoon, shots were fired at Sherman Hills Apartment Complex
"My daughter came here, we have a three month old grandson and she was taking the baby out of the car when she heard the pop, pop, pop, pop" said Patricia Gardner of Wilkes-Barre.
With the shooter still on the loose. Witnesses at the scene say police responded quickly with their guns drawn . But it was two late. Two children ages three and five were caught in the crossfire.
Eyewitness Jude Kotch said "The ambulances got here pretty quick the kids were bleeding out on the ground."
Police searched the surrounding area and inside Sherman Hills for the gunmen for hours. Those who live in this development say this scene is becoming all too familiar.

Around three Saturday afternoon police detained one witness and brought him to Wilkes-Barre Police Department for questioning. He tells Eyewitness News he is innocent. Just an hour later, another man was taken into custody. Meanwhile police were processing scene.
