Trolley Museum Admission Fee Reduced For The Holidays

A community day is held on Saturday giving the public an opportunity to visit the Festival of Trees “A Fairytale Holiday” exhibit free-of-charge, courtesy of Lackawanna County.

The Electric City Trolley Station and Museum, 300 Cliff Street, is offering reduced admission through December 30 to inspect all of the exhibits and this year’s “Festival of Trees” display.  Admission for this time period will be $2 for adults, $1 for children and children two and under are free.   

A community day was held on Saturday, December 28, enabling the public to visit the Festival of Trees “A Fairytale Holiday” exhibit free-of-charge, courtesy of Lackawanna County.  The trees were decorated by area organizations, schools and businesses as a fundraiser for “Toys For Tots.”

Many people turned out on Saturday to explore the Festival of Trees and enjoy the trolleys. 

The winners of this year’s “Festival of Trees” were: first place - Valley View High School for “The Three Little Pigs;” second place - One Point for “Hansel and Gretel;” third place - Fidelity Bank for “The Elves and the Shoemaker;” honorable mention - Citizens Saving Bank for “A Cinderella Story;” and United Neighborhood Centers won the People’s Choice Award.
