The Lycoming Audubon Society Presents
California Birdin' : The Central and Northern Coastal Areas
The program focuses on the Klamath/ North Coast Bioregion in the north and the central Monterey Bay/ Big Sur areas, discussing some of the birds, other animals, and habitats there. Also covered will be the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary and a bit of history as well. Three endangered bird species will be highlighted: the Northern Spotted Owl, the California Condor, and the Western Snowy Plover.
Wayne Laubscher, our presenter, is a PA Birds compiler for Clinton County, compiler for the Lock Haven- Jersey Shore CBC, an owl and hummingbird bander in PA, and a bio aide for the PA Game Commission.
January 22, 2014 , Chapter meeting begins at 6 pm with the program commencing at 6:30.
Where: The program is free and open to the public at the James V. Brown Library (Lowry Room on the third floor of the Welch Wing), 19 E. Fourth Street Williamsport (parking off Market St.)
