Scranton man whose wife loves to read and has thousands of
books recently opened the Electric City's newest library, but this one is a
little different, it is in a phone booth!

Photojournalist Joseph
Butash shows us this unique library.

The Phone Booth Hart Free Library was created by  John Hart of Scranton for his wife, Maureen.  Maureen is an avid reader.  Her husband John found the design for a British iconic phone booth, had one constructed- waterproof of course,  and now it sits in front of their home in the Green Ridge section of the Electric city as Scranton's newest library. The Hart’s tell Eyewitness News that there are over 5000 registered free libraries in the United States.
