Long Pond, Monroe County - Pocono Mountain Regional Police say they arrested a man who murdered a robbery suspect.
A community security guard found 20 year old Brandon Fraser of Long Pond shot to death in the back seat of a car in August. The car was parked off of Gap View Drive in Tobyhanna Township's Emerald Lakes Development.
Police now say someone who helped the victim commit that robbery shot him. Officers charged 23 year old William McRae of Long Pond with homicide Wednesday.
They say McRae, 20-year-old Emily Woodman of Long Pond, and Fraser robbed a man in July. They allegedly lured the victim to a secluded location by posing as a woman on Craigslist. When the man arrived, police say McRae and Fraser ambushed him, beat him with a baseball bat, and pistol whipped him. They got away with his wallet, phone, and $100
Police arrested McRae in Manhattan Wednesday. He is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing next month.
