The Court Appointed Special Advocates program (CASA) is the topic of this Sunday’s Newsmakers.
The monthly public affairs program is hosted by Senior Producer Jayne Ann Bugda and the I-Team’s Andy Mehalshick.
Bugda and Mehalshick will have as their guests, Luzerne County Judge Tina Polachek Gartley, John Aciukewicz, CASABoard President and Stephanie Simon, CASA Volunteer Coordinator.
Judge Gartley, Aciukewicz and Simon will explain how the volunteer program works and what is required of volunteers. CASA Volunteers are appointed by a judge to advocate and be the voice of a child in court. Volunteers are needed for the Luzerne County program.
Newsmakers will air Sunday, September 8th
