People in Schuylkill County are outraged after a long-time vacant home caught fire over the weekend.
Shenandoah, Schuylkill County -- People in Schuylkill County are outraged after a long-time vacant home caught fire over the weekend.

Firefighters were called to the 200-block of East Washington Street in Shenandoah on Saturday morning.

The Shenandoah Fire Marshal said the flames started inside the kitchen area of an unoccupied home and quickly spread to two other vacant homes and another home with a family living inside.

The cause is being listed as undetermined, but neighbors said it's suspicious, because they constantly complain to the borough about people entering the vacant homes.

A firefighter was treated and released from the hospital after he was injured fighting the flames in Schuylkill County.
