Main Street, Dickson City, Waterline Repair

Work will be done day and night until it is complete, minimizing traffic tie-ups.
Waterline infrastructure repair along the 500 block of Main Street, Dickson City, will be done next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, October 8, 9, & 10, weather permitting.
According to Gary Cavill, P.E. LEED AP, Lackawanna County Engineer, the work entails repairs to the failing storm water infrastructure.  In late June 2013, the roadway was flooded and temporary repairs were done.
The project will entail replacing inlets and cross pipes.  Work will be done day and night until it is complete, minimizing traffic tie-ups.
One lane will be open to traffic at all times with flaggers controlling the flow.  Which lane is open depends on the side that the crew is working on.
The contractor is T. Brennan, and the project cost is $35,340.
