Up and coming pop star Liam Lis will make a special appearance at Funfest this Sunday, performing some of his songs and signing autographs.  The 11-year old recording artist has been featured on Radio Disney, and his videos on YouTube have been very popular.  Lis will perform with a live band from 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. at Broad and Laurel Streets Sunday.  He will also be available to sign autographs afterward.
Lis’ appearance coincides with Radio Disney’s live broadcast at Funfest Sunday later that afternoon. The Philadelphia “Road Crew” will host an interactive presentation featuring music and giveaways, beginning at 4:30 that afternoon, just after the Funfest Parade.
Lis is currently in rehearsal for a tour with other teen bands R5, Fifth Harmony and Alex Aiano.  His schedule brought him to Northeastern Pennsylvania this weekend, which led to the last minute addition of Funfest.
Liam began playing piano and writing music at the age of five.  He also acts in commercials and models.  His YouTube channel has over 100-thousand hits, and he is just about to release his third music video, ‘Count the Ways.”
Funfest Weekend will take place in Downtown Hazleton Saturday and Sunday, September 7 and 8.  The street fair and festival includes a car show, craft show, cook-offs, and free entertainment at three venues.  The Funfest Parade kicks off at 2:30 Sunday in West Hazleton and travels east into the festival area.
