The Law and You July 5, 2013
Q. We booked a vacation through a local travel agency but when we got there nothing was right. The things we were told were included weren't. the room rate was more than we agreed to. It was a disaster. I want to sue the travel agent. Can I?
A. Yes you can. Make sure that you have all the documentation as to what your travel agent promised and what was not delivered. The more documentation that you have, the easier your case will be to prove that the travel agent sold you something that you didn't bargain for. At the end of the day, it is going to be a breach of contract action against your travel agent. I would strongly suggest that you consult an attorney that specializes in litigation as there is a strong likelihood the case will end up in a courtroom.
