Knife Robberies Plague Scranton Neighborhood

For the second time in eight days, Scranton Police say there has been a knife-point robbery attempt along Stafford Avenue.

Scranton, Lackawanna County - For the second time in eight days, Scranton Police say there has been a knife-point robbery attempt along Stafford Avenue.

The latest incident happened around 6 a.m. Monday near Stafford Ave. and Saginaw Street. Two employees of the Mountain View Care Center were in a car when a man reached into their window. Police say he held a knife to the passenger's throat and demanded cash, but got away empty-handed.

No one was hurt, but this incident is similar to one reported in the same area on November 10th.
