Jim Belushi bringing sketch comedy troupe to Kirby Center

F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on March 13 at 7:30 p.m.
Spend a hilarious evening with longtime actor and comedian, Jim Belushi, as he and a few friends bring their brand-new sketch comedy show to the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on March 13 at 7:30 p.m.
With more than 30 years of experience and an alumnus of “Saturday Night Live” and Chicago’s famed Second City, Belushi is now bringing to the stage an improvised comedy show that features members of the Chicago Board of Comedy.
Tickets go on sale Friday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. and will be available at the Box Office, by phone at (570) 826-1100 and online at www.kirbycenter.org.
A special Kirby Member Pre-Sale begins Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m.
“We are not stand-up comedians,” Belushi said. “Our show is not a passive, sit-back-and-watch experience. Most of the fun we have on stage comes from our inclusion of the audience – we get suggestions from them to begin each scene we perform, and in certain instances, bring them on-stage with us to add to our performance.”
A favorite of film, television and stage audiences, Belushi is one of the great leading character actors, equally at home in drama and comedy, and a gifted performer who can also hold a room as front man of a rhythm and blues band.
Belushi also starred on the ABC hit comedy "According to Jim,” on which he also served as executive producer, music composer and director for eight full seasons.  He is joined on tour by Robert Belushi, Larry Joe Campbell, Megan Grano, Jon Barinholtz, and Brad Morris, all of whom are classically trained professional improvisers who tour regularly nationwide.
Ticket Prices: $34.00 and $44.00, plus applicable fees
