Hazleton Man Shot By Police Under Investigation

State police and the Luzerne County District Attorney's office are investigating a Hazleton Police Officer's use of deadly force
Hazleton, Luzerne County-State police and the Luzerne County District Attorney's office are investigating a Hazleton Police Officer's use of deadly force. The unnamed officer shot and killed a Hazleton man overnight during a confrontation.  26-year-old Jonathan Garay was shot and killed early Saturday morning by Hazleton police. Officials say police responded to reports of shots fired at 521 Alter Street just before three a.m.  State Police tell Eyewitness News that two officers struggle with Garay for control of his gun before one of them shot him. The Luzerne County Coroner says Garay died of multiple gunshot wounds.
