'Golden Age Club' at The Salvation Army.

Williamsport, Lycoming County-There is a new program at The Salvation Army for Older Adults called 'Golden Age Club' at The Salvation Army in Williamsport.

"The program seeks to serve the adult ages 55 and older.  In a time and age when "seniors" seem to keep getting younger and younger, The Salvation Army believes this program will draw those "golden agers' who perhaps may feel left out or "on the fringes" of other programs.
The program will give them a place where they feel they can truly belong and in turn feel accepted for who they are.  Additionally  many "thirty-somethings" these day are on SSI, without work and without a place to go.  The Salvation Army  see this program as a compassionate way to reach out to them as well as the seniors.

The program operates two day per week, Tuesday and Thursday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  A hot lunch will be provided.  We welcome all to come and enjoy the program that includes, music, crafts, games, devotions, speakers as well as a time to fellowship.

For further information please contact Amy McGovern - at the Williamsort Salvation Army (570) 326-9187 x 102."
