  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  September 11, 2013.

  We are pausing to remember the events of September 11, 2001.  We have a number of stories for you today about observances across our region and in New York, Washington, and Shanksville.

 Today's Features: 

 The third annual Dr. Midori Yamanouchi Lecture Series at Misericordia University is presenting Ishmael Beah, 32, a former child solider in Sierra Leone and a N.Y. Times bestselling author, for the presentation, "A Long Way Gone: A Story of Redemption and Hope,'' on Monday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Lemmond Theater in Walsh Hall.

The Congregation of Saint John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saint Johns is getting ready to celebrate with a special service for an important milestone in this 214 year old congregation history.  On September 15th, at 5:30pm, Peter J. Roy will be ordained as a Pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), and officially installed as the spiritual leader of St John's ELC.
