  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  October 9, 2013.

  We will continue our coverage of the deadly bus crash in Union County.

  Plus, I want to tell you about a new link here on PA Homepage. Web Extras-  I will be adding stories of interest from across the nation and some that have aired in our newscasts.  Today- there is a story entitled "Playing in Silence"- It is about a  high school football player who is deaf- a very inspiring story.
  Also- the Mobile Banking Safety story is there.  If you missed it at 5 pm there are some good tips for those who use mobile banking.

  Reminder: From Mark Davis of Senator John Yudichak's Office.- Senator Yudichak and Senator Lisa Baker will host  a Senior Expo at the 109th Armory, Kingston on Thursday, October 10 from 10 am to 1 pm.
  The expo will feature more than 100 vendors and exhibitors. The event will feature free health screenings, information on programs and services available to our area's older residents and free refreshments.

 Today's Features: 
  I know school can be scary for some. But, I hear the halls of West Scranton High School are haunted!  The drama club has a great Halloween treat for you!  October 26 from 6-10pm, October 27 from 5-9pm.  Tickets are $5 at the door.  Visitors ages 8 and up are welcome.

The Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 6th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held on Sunday, October 20th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Hazleton Health & Wellness Center located at 50 Moisey Drive in Hazleton.

  The New Courtyard Theater is getting ready to present "Sweeney Todd".  The theater is in Selinsgrove and is brand new. The show begin on October 11 for three weekends-  More info on the show and tickets under the community link .
