  On this day in history-in 1925 Scottish inventor John Logie Baird performs the first test of a working television system

  A benefit to help Dom Serra will be held on October 11th beginning at 2 pm at Tommy Boys in Nanticoke.  He is recovering from injuries after being hit by a car.

The Humane Society of Port Jervis and Deerpark has launched a photo contest on its Facebook page, inviting fans to submit an original photo of their pet in a Halloween costume.

The Lackawanna County Commissioners are again sponsoring the
third annual “Heroes Day” on Saturday, October 5, from 10 am to 2 pm at the 911
Center, Valley View Drive, Jessup. 

  On PA LIVE -  Dave Becker is  your producer- 
  In the PA LIVE Kitchen:  Cooper's Seafood Restaurant from Scranton will be in the kitchen along with Meals on Wheels of Lackawanna County to talk about their annual soup sale fundraiser.

  The Courtyard Theatre of Selinsgrove will stop by to give us a preview of their production "Sweeney Todd".

  A man running for his life in Hazleton being chased by people in a pick up truck- The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick and Photographer Lonnie Miller are caught in the middle.

  The former Union President Lisa Barrett Pleads guilty to stealing money from Wyoming Area Education Association Union.  Eric Deabill has the story.

  There are water restrictions in place in one part of Clinton because of the dry conditions.  Valerie Tysanner has our story.

  A very interesting story about a mobile morgue in Schuylkill County- Kelly Choate as the details.

  On Eyewitness News at 6 and 11  Lindsay Keeler  is your producer

  New cameras in place at the Intermodal Center in Wilkes-Barre.  The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick takes a look.

 Will Colton quit "Survivor"? (8pm) And there's a robbery and a murder during a poker game on "CSI" tonight at 10pm (both WYOU). Cybill Shepherd guest stars as
a chef on "SVU" at 9pm….and then it's the hip 2013 remake of a much darker, brooding "Ironside", premiering on WBRE at 10pm. "

On "The X Factor"---- the "4 Chair Challenge" debuts….
But getting a chair doesn't guarantee anything (that's WOLF at 8pm)! Letterman has Kerry ("Scandal" ) Washington, Leno has Kathy Griffin and Kimmel sits with the "Last Man Standing"-Tim
