  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  November 8, 2013.

 It is Friday- Richard Charneski, Sports Photo Journalist checking in with Friday Night Football matchups.

  It is the first round of playoff tonight.  The biggest game of the night is the re-match of Abington Heights at Scranton Prep.  (Prep won earlier in the season)

  Scranton at East Stroudsburg South (Great 8 team number 5).  East Stroudsburg South is 10 and 0. 

  The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins are home tonight against the Albany Devils- the puck drops at 7:05 pm.

  Oh, My Goodness! The Osterhout Free Library in Wilkes-Barre will host a Shirley Temple Film Fest on Saturday, November, 9 from 12:30pm to 4:00pm.



Misericordia University is presenting a free interactive cooking demonstration and presentation by Father Leo Patalinghug, an internationally renowned conference speaker, author and TV host on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the Huntzinger and Alden Trust Rooms 218-219 of Sandy and Marlene Insalaco Hall as part of Inauguration Week activities.

  An arrest is made in the brutal beating of a Wilkes-Barre man.  Andy Mehalshick will have more on the story he first told us about at noon.

 
  Talk about a close vote! The Shamokin Mayor's Race is decided by one vote.  Valerie Tysanner will have our story

 
  45 years after a murder, the suspected killer faces a judge for the first time.  Laurie Monteforte tells us about the case and the historical book prosecutors had to dig up in order to move their case forward


  A job fair at high school.  Hazleton Area High School hosts a job expo.  Representatives offering students job and career opportunities at home.  Mark Hiller will have our story.
 

 
  On Eyewitness News at 6 and 11  Lindsay Keeler  is your producer

 
  We will hear from the Good Samaritan who was injured while  rescuing two people who were trapped inside a burning SUV.  Investigators say the SUV was a suspected mobile meth lab- The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick will have the story.


  A beautiful patriotic display for Veterans Day.  Eric Deabill will show us how one University is honoring veterans.



  On Eyewitness News at Seven on WYOU-  An update of all the day's news.  Plus, here is what else I, (Jayne Ann)  will have for you. 

  An investigation at York College into alleged hazing.


  We are continuing to follow the Rockefeller Center Tree.  The tree arrived in New York this morning.
