Ok, folks time to turn the Calendar to November.  The year is flying by.  I have our first Christmas Event listed under our community link.  The Festival of Trees event in Lackawanna County looking for participants.
  And Laurie Monteforte has a story about a Ginger Bread House!!!!!! That's in our 5 p m Newscast.  I love Gingerbread houses. I want the PA Live Crew to make one in the Kitchen!

  My friend Wilkes-Barre cartoonist Bob Heim is in the middle of a Cartoon A Thon until midnight tonight at Genetti's in Wilkes-Barre. Stop by and say Hi!  He is raising money for Alzheimer's Disease.  Mark Hiller will have a story about Bob on Eyewitness News at Five.

  I have an interesting story for you under the Web Extra link-It is about a new treatment to help Cancer Patient with hair loss during chemo treatments.

  Sports Photo Journalist Rich Charneski checking in with the big games of the night.  A lot of rivals playing this Friday and Saturday.  Old Shoe Game- Dallas at Lake Lehman tonight.  The Battle for the Bridge: Montoursville at Loyalsock.    And the Pittston Area vs Wyoming Area.  Don't forget GAR vs Meyers.  The Coal Bucket Game tonight between Mount Carmel at Shamokin.  The Hershey Bears are in town facing the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins- the puck drops at 7:05.

  The American Cancer Society is looking for Volunteers to drive cancer patients to their treatment.  Check out the story under our communtiy link for information on how you can help.

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's Wind Ensemble will perform symphonic music in their concert on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 2:30 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania invites the general public to attend an original, kid-oriented show titled "The Little Star that Could" showing at 7 and 8 p.m., Friday, November 8. The show will be in the McMunn Planetarium in the Warren E. '55 and Sandra Hoeffner Science and Technology Center.

*Ruth's Place Walk-A-Thon: "A MILE IN HER SHOES"  Sunday, November 3 from 1 pm to 3 pm, Public Square in Wilkes-Barre. Ruth's Place is the only emergency shelter for homeless women in Luzerne County. A program of Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania, Ruth's Place has provided emergency shelter and services for over 1,500 homeless women since its beginning in 2003

On "Undercover Boss" it is all about the dress (Alfred Angelo---Bridal gowns) at 8pm….and on "Hawaii 5-0" a zombie-like man is shot and a madman is on the loose! (Both WYOU!)
"Why We (HEART) Vampires" - 8pm on WBRE, a show to sink your teeth in to…and then there's "Dracula" at 10pm to continue the bloody theme….as Grayson and Lady Jayne becomes lovers.
 On "MasterChef" (WOLF) - 4 cook chicken and then 2 go home at 8pm.
