    On Saturday, January 25th, Dr. Bob Friedhoffer, professional magician and educator (a.k.a. the "Madman of Science") will be at The Cooperage in Honesdale performing magic tricks to teach children (and adults) about science.  (More under the Community Link)

Scholarships will be awarded to three art studio majors entering Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in fall 2014, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor who was inspired by First Columbia Bank's Teen Star Competition.  (Read more under the Community Link)

   Chef Jim Guasto from the 2-7-9 Bar and Grill in Plains stops by to whip up Boursin Panko Crusted Lamb Chops.

  Attorneys Greg Fellerman and Ed Ciaramboli stop by to talk about a program they have to help raise money to help those who are  the less fortunate, that's  in Your Community Live.

   And we'll talk about Diversity Week at the Commonwealth Medical College in Scranton
 

        
       


On Eyewitness News at Five-   Katherine Lachette is your producer.


    A man is killed in a drive by shooting in one part of Monroe County.  The crime as you can imagine has shaken up the people who live near the scene.   Eyewitness News Reporter Laurie Monteforte will have more on the investigation.


   Kelly Choate has an interesting story about how one fire department is using a helmet camera.  Kelly finds out how this benefits the fire fighters on the job.

    

    In our good news department: US Postal Worker Andy Box is honored!  He has worked as a mail carrier for over 30 years and no crashes!  He is now a member of the Million Mile Club!  Eric Deabill has the story!
