  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  January 10, 2014

  I had the opportunity to meet with this year's Leadership Wilkes-Barre Class on Thursday.  The members shared with me their upcoming projects for this year. I can tell you they are working on some very interesting and important projects for our area.  I will be sharing information with all of you under our Community Link!  So as we like to say in TV....Stay Tuned.

  The Greater Scranton Women's Network, sponsored by Community Bank N.A., will continue its series of "Strong Women Leading Today" on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM at Hilton Scranton & Conference Center.  This luncheon will feature guest speaker, Lara Alexiou, owner of Steamtown Hot Yoga in Scranton. Alexiou will speak about self-mastery including how to control your emotions, actions and impulses in the New Year and will provide tips to attendees.


Affirming a nearly 20-year-old partnership, the Caterpillar Foundation and a network of regional dealers recently delivered $146,000 in support of three academic programs based at Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Schneebeli Earth Science Center.

  New beginnings in Hazleton. The Allentown Based Lehigh Valley Health  Network has now merged with and is now operating the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance. The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick tell us what it means to the community.
 
 
  Scranton Central High Class of 1963 had a unique idea.  The classed raised money for their 50th Reunion- and decided the teacher with the most imaginative idea would benefit.  Today a check was presented to one of the teachers-  Eyewitness News Reporter Eric Deabill has our story.

  An Edwardsville woman is facing a number of animal abuse charges.  Karen Reily was charged with cruelty and animal abuse.  The I-Team's Andy Mehalshick has the story.

  An old elementary school in Wayne County is getting a new life!  It is being renovated into a medical facility.  Eyewitness News Reporter Eric Deabill has more in this interesting transformation.
