  Here's what we are working  on for Eyewitness News for  August 30, 2013.
  We are heading into Labor Day Weekend!  I cannot believe it! Where did the summer go...I blinked and it is the end of August!
  Football season kicks off! We have a pep rally on PA Live- and then join Ken Brown on Eyewitness News at 11 pm for Sports Friday.

  Empire Beauty School’s new Pottsville campus  celebrated its Grand Opening on Thursday with a sizable donation to Schuylkill Women in Crisis, an anti-domestic violence program providing legal and other services to Domestic Violence survivors across Schuylkill County.
A program/coloring book with original artwork by presenters at this year’s Wildcat Comic Con will be among giveaways to the first 500 people to pre-register for the Sept. 28 event at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Linda Gutierrez, assistant professor of biology, will be the speaker at Wilkes University’s 2013 summer commencement ceremony. The ceremony will be held on Sunday, Sept.  8, at 1 p.m. at the Arnaud C. Marts Sports and Conference Center
