First National Bank supports children's programming at Misericordia

First National Bank makes donation to Misericordia University Speech-Language Pathology Department through Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
First National Bank recently donated $5,000 to Misericordia University through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) to support programs in the Speech-Language Pathology Department that help treat children with speech-and-language problems. Misericordia is an Educational Improvement Organization (EIO) that businesses may make contributions and be considered for Educational Improvement Tax Credits from the state in Fiscal Year 2013-14.
The Speech-Language and Hearing Center at Misericordia University provides much needed and free services to children with a wide range of communications disorders. This EITC-eligible gift to Misericordia ensures that these young children will receive the assessment and treatment they need at the center, and will prevent them from falling further behind in the classroom.
