Eyewitness To History: Electric City Trolley

Photojournalist Joseph Butash shares this piece of trolley history. Enjoy!
Scranton, Lackawanna County- Wonder why Scranton, Pennsylvania is known as the Electric City?
It's because it's the home to the first successful Electric Street Car.
They started running in 1886, ended on this very day December 18,1954.
Only two known Scranton Trolleys  remain in  existence.
One is now being restored by Lackawanna County at the Trolley works on Montage Mountain.
Lackawanna County's goal is to have the trolley that Keith Bray of Cabinets and More  is working that dates from 1901, back on the track in five-years..
