Dress for Success Worldwide has joined QVC to extend #GivingTuesday beyond the one day of encouraged goodwill, offering supporters the opportunity to give back for an entire month, from December 3, 2013 through January 3, 2014. QVC will match customer donations to four select charities, up to $150,000 raised collectively. Dress for Success will use "Give Joy” funds to support local affiliates, such as Dress for Success Lackawanna, in continuing to provide professional attire, support, and career development tools to women to help them thrive in work and life. QVC customers will have the ability to purchase a $10 donation to Dress for Success just as they would buy any other item via QVC.com and mobile platforms. The item number to donate to Dress for Success is S7125.
“The holidays can be exceptionally hard for women who have no steady income,” said Joi Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide.  “Through this campaign, QVC is helping to raise funds and awareness for our mission at a time when it is needed most and is ultimately helping us get more women back to work.”
QVC is the global leader in video and e-Commerce and throughout the year participates in various initiatives to support the success and wellness of women through the power of relationships. QVC’s “Give Joy” campaign supports this mission by making charitable giving easy and joyful for their customers this holiday season.
“At QVC, we believe that the holidays aren’t just about giving, but also about giving back. #GivingTuesday celebrates and encourages giving during the holiday season and we are proud to be a part of it,” said Paul Capelli, VP, Corporate Communications and Community Affairs, QVC. “Through ‘Give Joy,’ we are not only matching funds for our featured charities, but also building awareness for the incredible work they’re doing and the resources and services that they can provide.”
More information on “Give Joy” and how to donate to Dress for Success through the campaign can be found at QVC.com or by calling QVC at (800) 345-1515.
