Veterans Honored on D-Day with Diplomas

he West Scranton Invaders are the only high school in the nation named for the D-Day invasion.
Scranton, Lackawanna County- D-Day took center stage in our area this Friday, June 6th
  Twenty-eight diplomas were given to veterans,  of World War Two and other conflicts.
  A packed house at West Scranton High School  Friday as the diplomas were given out to the Pennsylvania patriots or family members this morning.
  One veteran from Duryea is 100 years old
  Many never got their diplomas because they volunteered for the military, and they remain  humble to this day.
  The West Scranton Invaders are the only high school in the nation named for the D-Day invasion.
