Spring Has Sprung Early in Luzerne County

The official start to spring isn't until next week, but the warmer weather is not waiting until then.
Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County - The official start to spring isn't until next week, but the warmer weather is not waiting until then.  Before Tuesday, the last time NEPA saw 60 was December 22nd!

The sounds of spring were in the air Tuesday, as swinging children, active adults, and a few four legged friends swarmed Wilkes-Barre's Kirby Park to get some fresh air.  Caramia Cameron, of Dallas, says "if there could be 3 seasons it would be fall, spring, and summer."  "With all the snow melting it made it pretty muddy, still fun though so that's good," adds Tanner Dresch, of Wilkes-Barre.

The thermometer boost is short lived this week, though, with a cold snap on the way back in.  Wednesday, rain and sleet move in.
