Fans of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs racing had quite a surprise when race 3 last Tuesday, March 25th hit the track. The horse in the nine hole looked surprisingly like a giraffe!
Quantum Lightning, trained by Pierre Paradis, and owned by Paradis and Edward J. Gomez, was sporting a unique coat trim, making the 7-year-old chestnut gelding look like a giraffe! Sophie Desroches was responsible for the beautiful cut.
Quantum Lightning returns Tuesday, April 1st, and this will be no April Fool’s joke! Fans can catch the eye-catching gelding in race 2, and he will be driven by Simon Allard.
Mohegan.
