Police File More Sex Charges Against Singing Boys Director

Investigators say Kenneth Bernard Schade had 1,101 child pornography images.

Marshalls Creek, Monroe County – Police have filed more sex crime charges against the director of the Singing Boys of Pennsylvania. Investigators say Kenneth Bernard Schade, of Marshalls Creek, had 1,101 images of child pornography. A phone call he made from prison led them to the images.

Schade is in prison on charges he raped a boy in the nineties. Police say he was warned all prison phone calls are recorded. According to police paperwork, Schade made a monitored call to a neighbor. He asked that neighbor to take two locked suitcases from his home because he didn’t want police going through his personal belongings.

That neighbor put the suitcases in a locked shed. When investigators contacted her, she turned them over. Police say the pornography includes young children. They did not say whether or not they were images of children Schade knew personally.

Schade is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing later this month for a judge to decide if there is enough evidence to send the case to county court. His attorney did not return a request for comment on this story.
