Pajama Party for Those in Need

Plymouth, Luzerne County - It's not quite Christmas, but it's a close second.  A pajama drive made a couple of stops in Luzerne County and it's making the dreams of homeless children a little cozier on a cold night.

A delivery of PJs lit up the faces of homless children Thursday night living at a shelter for women and children.  The new threads came from the Salvation Army's Thompson Family Pajama Pantry.  The first delivery was to the Salvation Army Kirby Family House and the second was to the Catherine McCawley House.

The Director of the Catherine McCawley House, Sister Catherine McGroarty, says "children always love new pajamas and although we do have some, especially from Christmas, but this will be great that they get new pajamas and they go to bed feeling just wonderful."

To date, the Salvation Army's PJ Pantry has distributed more than 10,000 pajamas to those in need across Pennsylvania.
